Here are some examples of organisations promoting local foods, from the UK and beyond. I strongly support many of the aims of the organisations listed here, but am interested in the way in which concepts like ‘local’, ‘alternative’ and ’sustainable’ are used.

And here are some links to groups experimenting with the 100-mile diet concept, which originated in North America and is detailed here.
